Medicare basics to be covered in Jan. 24 talk

Senior Staff Attorney Joan Chang from the Community Legal Aid SoCal Health Consumer Action Center will talk about Medicare basics and their services to the community on Friday, Jan. 24, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2 at 10 a.m.

Chang has over 15 years of experience in public interest and private practice. She has a deep commitment to ensuring Orange County residents have access to the healthcare they need and deserve. She advocates for her individual clients and overcomes systemic health care barriers affecting all Californians. Chang received her J.D. from Southwestern Law School and her B.A. from University of California, Berkeley.

Community Legal Aid So-Cal is a member of the Health Consumer Alliance, a statewide collaborative of other legal aid agencies. Chang is a member of the Health Consumer Alliance’s Race & Equity Committee and LGBTQIA+ Committee, and she is the facilitator of the Medi-Cal Spousal Impoverishment Advocates Workgroup.
