Cribbage Club

The Leisure World Cribbage Club met Nov. 26 in Clubhouse 1. Members were encouraged to be present by 12:15 p.m. Announcements were given at 12:25 p.m. with games beginning at 12:30 p.m. A dollar, collected at the table before play began, provided prize money to the top scores.

Melinda Cowan and Suzanne Frank provided huge bowls of mixed nuts and candy for everyone to enjoy. Thanksgiving was celebrated with pumpkin, pecan and apple pies. Suzanne Parks and Potsy Frank served.

The club will celebrate the holidays with a meal on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 11:30 a.m. The club will not meet on Dec. 24 or 31.

Micki Whitaker earned her first star by winning all seven of the games played with a total score of 847; Bob Berry, 838, second; Drew Sargent, 835, third; Dave LaCascia, 832, fourth. Potsy Frank played seven games with no wins.
