The City of Seal Beach invites the community to attend its Summer Kickoff event on June 11 at Edison Park, located at 99 College Drive. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., people can enjoy lawn games and visit a variety of vendors, including those offering food to purchase. For the movie beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m., everyone is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

The second round of the three-week annual Women’s Golf Club Championship tournament was held on May 17. The golfers competed for lowest gross and net scores, as well as fewest putts in the ninehole round.
The club recognizes Jessica Choi for scoring the lowest number of putts out of all those participating. The flight winners were:
Flight A: Low gross: Devora Kim, 28; low net: Young
