On April 17, nine LW Shuffleboard Club members drove to Laguna Woods Village to test out their courts and find ways to make the LW shuffleboard court better. LW Women’s Golf

On April 18, 34 members of the LW Women’s Golf Club (LWWGC) competed in a weekly tournament for low gross, low net and putts. CalFresh, a USDA-funded nutrition assistance program, can help qualifying Leisure World residents receive healthy fruits and vegetables, among other groceries. Recipients receive a card similar to a debit card with money loaded every month to shop for more fruit, vegetables, protein and other healthy foods. CalFresh is locally administered through the Community Action Partnership (CAP) in Leisure

Members of the Photo Arts Club had a field trip to Rancho Los Alamitos on April 13. Rancho Los Alamitos curator Doug Cox met the group and welcomed everyone. The group then split into two groups, one with Ben Benjamins to explore the farm buildings and visit the animals, and the other, with Doug Cox to visit the gardens, focusing on locations for photo shoots.
