Professional pool player visits LW Pool Club


Starting Monday, Sept. 2, the LW Pool Club will begin its 10 week fall pool league. Each Monday and Wednesday night in Clubhouse 2 at 6 p.m. six teams will play every other team in their division twice. League playoffs will be Nov. 11 and will end with sweepstakes on Nov. 18. Tournament Poker Club tournament is Sept. 7


Those who would like to play a fun and friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em for a $5 buy-in can play at the next tournament on Sept. 7. Regular tournaments are on the first three Saturdays of every month in the lobby of Clubhouse 6. Registration begins at 10 a.m., along with treats and coffee. Cards are in the air at 10:30. Free pickleball lessons offered


LW PICKLEBALL PLAYERS CLUB The Pickleball Players Club offers new player lessons for free every fourth Tuesday of the month at the pickleball courts behind Clubhouse 2 at 10:30 a.m. Jim Thomason is the instructor. Cribbage Club

Cribbage Club


The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served from noon-12:15, and anyone arriving by 12:15 is assured a place to play. A total of seven games are played. Yearly dues are $5 and $1 is collected from each player weekly who plays. Those finishing with the top four scores are awarded prize money the following week. The club always welcomes new players.
