Chess Club


The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay by practicing this strategy game, proven to improve short- and long-term memory and critical thinking skills. A beautiful morning brought 38 women to the Turtle Lake Golf Course at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 17 for regular Tuesday play. Play for the day was low gross, low net and fewest putts. The Wa-Rite is a women-only club and meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing

JOYFUL LINE DANCE Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursday mornings in Clubhouse 2 from 10-10:30 for beginners, and from 10:30-noon for intermediate dancers. The last 30 minutes of the class are dedicated to more advanced dances. On the first Thursday of the month, club members learn a new dance under the guidance of Karen Kei.
