LW Shuffl eboard Club fall league season begins


The Shuffleboard Club began its fall season leagues last Friday morning and Tuesday evening. There are currently five teams for each league, and there is room in each league for adding additional players for the 10-week season. Cribbage Club’s Barbara Wheeler earns a star


The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Each week refreshments are served from noon-12:15 and anyone arriving by 12:15 will be assured a place to play. Yearly dues are $5 and $1 is collected from each player weekly. Those finishing with the top four scores are awarded prize money the following week. A total of seven games are played each week and new players are always welcome.

GUYS AND GALS GOLF TOURNAMENT The Guys and Gals tournament was played on Sept. 18, a sunny and warm morning. Thirty-one teams of one man and one woman of varying skills contended for best net scores (gross score minus handicap), plus four circle holes (shots within a 5-foot radius rewarded), and two closest-to-the-pin challenges.
