OBITUARY Ella Blankenship Walton, 95, a GRF director representing Mutual 2 from 2008-2012, died Feb. 1, 2026, at Rowntree Gardens of Stanton. Born on July 13, 1930, Walton was known for her leadership, compassion, and love of square dancing, fine needlework and cycling. She led a rich and fulfilling life that touched many: “Ella was a very beloved neighbor, and she will be greatly missed.

Drop off donations at Amphitheater Feb. 21


SALVATION ARMY Donations of furniture, clothing and household goods will be collected on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater bus hub. The bi-monthly collection event is organized by The Salvation Army and the Golden Age Foundation to provide a convenient way for residents to donate unwanted items. Events are held on the second Saturdays of even-numbered months.
