Produce box distribution is today


SB LIONS CLUB The Produce Box Program for November will be held today, Nov. 20, in the Clubhouse 6 parking lot from 10 a.m.-noon. People can purchase a 12-pound box of fresh fruits and vegetables for $10, just in time for a Thanksgiving celebration. All residents are encouraged to participate; there are no restrictions, no qualifications. Residents must bring a GRF ID card to pick up a box.

Final shredding event of the year serves 375 people


GOLDEN AGE FOUNDATION Twelve Golden Age Foundation (GAF) volunteers worked together to serve 375 people at the last shredding service of the year on Nov. 12. The volunteers worked hard to keep the drive through line flowing smoothly. The shredding truck driver, Manny Lopez, reported that he had collected 43 barrels documents over the course of the event. People can easily donate their unwanted RVs, cars, trucks, motorcycles, golf carts or boats and qualify for a significant tax deduction while supporting Leisure World residents’ resilience in an emergency
