Red Cross Blood Drive April 3 in HCC


The Red Cross will hold a blood drive on Friday, April 3, at the Leisure World Optum Health Care Center from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The Red Cross’s goal is to collect RED CROSS, page 16 28 units of blood. Donors will be rewarded with a Red Cross Life Is Good t-shirt. Those who give blood regularly, help keep the U.S. blood supply stable. The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays in Clubhouse 2 from 10 a.m.-noon. Albert Comia leads the first hour of the class with easy dances for beginners. Wa-Rite celebrates a massive weight loss for the week


Wa-Rite is a femaleonly club that meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. LW ID cards must be shown. For support on a weight-loss journey, women are welcome to stop by at 8:15 to weigh in and complete the registration paperwork. On Feb. 13, members learned that the club lost 23 pounds for the week.
