With the holidays season fast approaching, Hui O Hula—Leisure World’s Hawaiian dance club—continues to share the joy of hula twice a week. Dancers are learning the new hula subject “Here Comes Santa in a Red Canoe,” taught by instructor Jojo Weingart. Everyone is welcome. Meeting will feature watercolor demonstration


The Leisure World Art League’s meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. in Clubhouse 4 will feature contemporary multimedia artist Ian Desberg, a professional toy and product designer living in Cliff May Rancho Estates in Long Beach. During the pandemic, Desberg challenged himself to draw and paint all 740 original, 1950s ranch homes in this unique neighborhood. The project thrives with over 600 works
