GRF EVENTS The GRF Recreation Department will hold its annual Fourth of July event on Friday, July 4, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in and around Clubhouse 4. LW ORCHESTRA A capacity crowd attended the LW Orchestra's June 7 concert featuring opera and musical theater works. HUI O HULA Hui O Hula is looking forward to entertaining the Im- paired Vision & Hearing Club on Tuesday, June 24. Its members are always cheerful and hospitable. Hui O Hula, the Leisure World Hawaiian dance group, offers hula lessons twice a week. On Tuesday, class is held in the mirror room upstairs at Clubhouse 6. At the May 30 Gong Club game show, guests wore club colors blue, orange and gold. Everyone walked away a winner with house gifts of colorful bead necklaces, American flags and kazoos. Bad dad jokes at the open mic contest granted winners of first, second and third place with oversized coffee mugs. Participants in the Drop Dead Chicken race won chicken salt and pepper shakers.
