‘Little Shop of Horrors’ tickets go on sale Aug. 24

Tickets for a GRF bus trip to see a Sept. 24 performance of “Little Shop of Horrors” at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts go on sale Monday, Aug. 24, at 8 a.m. in the Recreation Office and online at www.lwsb. com/special-events.

The deviously funny sci-fi musical has entertained audiences for more than 40 years with its mix of comedy, romance, rock and R& B. The story follows a down-on-his-luck floral assistant whose discovery of an unusual plant changes his fortune.

Featuring music and lyrics by the creative team behind Disney favorites like “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast,” “Little Shop of Horrors” has become one of musical theater’s most popular shows. The performance will be followed by a cast talkback, where audience members can hear from members of the production.
