Coconut Breeze Club: Open Mic Night
The Coconut Breeze Club has organized the following upcoming events in Leisure World:
• Open Mic Night on June 26: The club will hold an open mic night on June 26 in Clubhouse 4. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performers start at 6:30. All 20 slots have been filled by aspiring performers. The performers will share variety of entertainment including original songs, poems, comedy and instrumentals. No walk-up performances will be allowed due to time constraints. Coffee will be provided. People can bring their usual treats and favorite drinks to share. Performers should expect a stage, a stool, microphones, a sound mixer, pickups and a friendly, expectant audience. • Tropical Summer Dance Party and Hula Showcase on July 31: The Coconut Breeze Club will hold a party Friday, July 31, from 6-9 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. The theme is tropical summer. Entertainment will be provided by the Coconut Breeze band the Hui O Hula dancers, who will perform a dance exhibition at 6 p.m. Music starts at 7 with live rock and roll tunes; conga line included. Sign in at the door. Admission is free.
The Coconut Breeze Band will perform July 31.
