Faith Christian Assembly
Jude 1:20-21 says, “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
Believers must keep that love they have for God alive and thriving. Believers are to engage their own efforts as if it depends on them, knowing full well that in it is God’s grace who works within them (Philippians 2:13). To accomplish this, they are instructed in Jude 1:20 to build themselves up on their most holy faith. They must do the work of being established in the doctrines that have been laid out in his word.
People are welcome to join Faith Christian Assembly’s weekly Bible study on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. to explore this message further. Because this passage reminds believers that they are responsible for their spiritual state to “keep yourselves in the love of God,” there is much at stake in how they respond to the love of God.
