LW ARTISTS RECOGNIZED

Alice Sioson (l) and Joan Boryta (r) were winners at the City of Cypress 2026 Spring Juried Art Show held on April 19 at the Cypress Community Center. Their entries were among the 228 art pieces that won awards. Sioson won second place for her 3D glass fusion piece titled "The Mermaid." Boryta won an honorable mention for her watercolor painting "Play Date." Present at the awards ceremony was Cypress City Mayor Leo Medrano.
