Faith Christian Assembly

Faith Christian Assembly’s men’s and women’s ministries meet once a month on the third Thursday for fellowship and fun, led by the love of God, to build community and faith.

In the men’s group, led by Gary Leming and Ruben DeLaRosa, people build community among like-minded individuals to learn, support and grow as “iron sharpens iron.” According to Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” This offers a great time to fellowship and share, and the men hear a Biblebased message tailored for the interests and needs of the group. The group meets to help and be accountable to each other to build strength and character in a unique way. Linda Hernandez was approached more than 20 years ago to start a women’s ministry for Faith Christian Assembly. She felt it was a perfect fit, because she had already founded a women’s group called Touch of Love.

The Touch of Love group helps women in the church find purpose, acceptance and prayer. One way the women support each other is through the tradition of having a “prayer pal.” Each month the pals exchange prayer requests. As a result, everyday it can be said “I’m being lifted up in prayer and she really loves me.”

Those who are interested in joining either the men’s or women’s ministry can come to the next meeting on Thursday, April 16, at 1 p.m. The men meeting is held in the main sanctuary and the women’s meeting is held at the same time in the Garden Room.

These meetings are a great way for those unfamiliar with the church to learn more about the community.

Weekly Sunday service time is 10:30 a.m. All residents are invited to come and experience great community and Biblebased teaching.
