Tickets for whale watching trip go on sale Feb. 23
GRF BUS TRIP
Leisure World residents are invited to attend a whale watching excursion on Wednesday, March 25, departing from Long Beach Harbor. Transportation is provided by chartered bus from Leisure World, with bus loading from the Amphitheater bus stop at 10:30 a.m. A box lunch is included with the trip.
The excursion features a whale watching cruise operated by Harbor Breeze Cruises, which has provided whale watching experiences in Long Beach for nearly two decades. Guests will travel aboard a comfortable vessel led by an experienced captain who provides narration throughout the journey. Whale watching offers a unique opportunity to observe marine wildlife in its natural habitat, and sightings may include whales, dolphins and other sea life commonly found along the Southern California coastline.
Tickets are $80 per person and include round-trip bus transportation and a box lunch. Tickets go on sale Feb. 23 at 8 a.m. and will be available for purchase at the Recreation Office or online at lwsb.com/special-events/. For more information, contact the Recreation Department at Recreation.Department@lwsb.com or call 562-431-6586, ext. 2476.
