White elephant bingo is Jan. 6

LW WOMAN'S CLUB

The LW Woman’s Club will host an afternoon of bingo on Tuesday, Jan. 6, in Clubhouse 2. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 1. Bingo begins at 1:30.

Winners will receive white elephant prizes.

People with a white elephant item to donate as a prize can wrap it up and give it to Rose Marie Sprague at the meeting.

In other news, the club is collecting donations for Casa Youth Shelter, which provides shelter, counseling and support services to youth and families in crisis.

Members can make donations by writing checks payable to Casa Youth Shelter. Alternatively, people can bring gift cards for gasoline, grocery stores, Dollar Tree, Target or fast food restaurants.

The shelter received substantial donations of nonperishable food items during November and December.

People who want to participate in the opportunity drawing should bring small bills.

The membership table will be open to distribute 2025-26 membership books, and process renewals and new membership applications. The membership table will be located across from the check-in table.
