Twice a year, the Leisure World Art League sponsors “Spotlight on the Artist”—an art exhibition featuring the extraordinary work of one Leisure World resident artist. On Saturday, Nov. 15, from 1-3:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 4, the Art League will spotlight Linda Frysinger, a multi-media artist whose colorful and whimsical creations have dazzled patrons at art shows, shoppers in stores and attendees at public events for over 32 years.

Frysinger began her art career as a member of the Torana Art League in Orange County while still a high school student. While still in high school, Frysinger was so proficient as an artist that she assisted in the teaching of art to Southern California children. Her broad exposure to a variety of media and creative tools led to her career designing and building store displays, developing seasonal products in Asia for importers, and designing artwork for production in factories.

The Nov. 15 spotlight will exhibit Frysinger’s broad spectrum of multimedia handicrafts such as creations in glass, tin, ceramic, floral, paper mache and even corn husk.

People who attended the Art League’s “Art in Bloom” exhibition in June caught a glimpse of Frysinger’s delightful creations.
