On Sept. 23, the Impaired Vision and Hearing Club had a special guest—the newest member of the Seal Beach Police Department, Yosa. Yosa is a service dog and will be used to patrol Main Street in Seal Beach and the beach, among other tasks. Detective John Ainley from the Seal Beach Police Department talked about phone and other scams relatable to senior citizens. The club’s next meeting is on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. The guest speaker will be a representative from HICAP. The attendees will learn about Medicare changes coming into effect in January 2026. All hearing impaired residents and their caregivers are welcome. Closed captioning will be provided.
