Wa-Rite: attitude isalittlething that makes a big d
ifference Wa-Rite is a female-only club that meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. LW ID cards must be shown. Women who want support on their weight-loss journey and to meet like-minded people are welcome to stop by no later than 8:45 to weigh in and complete the registration paperwork. Members learned that the club lost a total of nine pounds in one week. Linda Rich and Joy Nasser tied for the biggest loser title with a 2-pound loss each. Rich credits her success to consuming prepackaged, low-calorie meals several times a day for 10 days, plus one lean and green meal daily. Nasser continues to watch what she eats and walk more.
Joyce Brannon entertained the members by asking them 60 rapidly paced questions about the ‘60s, and for the second time in a meeting Rich was the winner.
The weekly food for thought was: “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”
