The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 2. The club divides its classes into two parts with a brief break in between—for beginners and more experienced dancers.

Each class begins with “Jo ‘n’ Jo Tango,” “Chilly Cha Cha,” “New York, New York” and others under the guidance of Albert Comia. Karen Kei leads the second hour of the class with intermediate to advanced dances and introduces a couple of new line dances each month. This month, members are learning “Bosa Nova.” People are welcome to stay for the two-hour class or just attend the first or second half of it. Exercise shoes are advised; no flip flops or sandals.

On Oct. 9, the club will have a dance party and a Sprouts sandwich lunch. All attendees must be the members of the club. Membership is $20 per calendar year. Sign-ups are open now until Sept. 25 in Clubhouse 2 on Thursdays before the class.
