Stay true to your weight loss journey with the help of Wa-Rite Club
Wa-Rite is a female-only club that meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. LW ID cards must be shown. Women who want support on their weight-loss journey and to meet like-minded people are welcome to stop by no later than 8:45 to weigh in and complete the registration paperwork.
On July 25, members learned that the club lost a total of 12 pounds for the week. Joy Nasser and Bea Quintana were the top losers with 1.5-pound loss each. Nasser said that her weight loss secret is eating a lot of seasonal fruits. Quintana said not eating past 5 p.m. works for her.
Julie Campbell joined the club just two months ago and has already earned her bachelor’s degree in weight loss. She gave up junk food and sweets and focuses on healthy eating and cutting her portions in a half.
The weekly food for thought was: “When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.”
