Resident Debbi Fudge and I have been looking for an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet for a while. We finally found one practically in our own backyard. This restaurant offers over 180 dishes on their menu. Their restaurant offers Szechuan, Hunan and Cantonese styles. There are six carousels of delicious food.

Some of the spectacular food included blue crab, crawfish, squid, mussels, and all the usual Chinese dishes like sweet and sour pork, beef broccoli, kung pow chicken and so much more. I didn’t know where to start so I chose the first carousel and took a little of each choice.

There were also two choices of soup. Debbi and I both savored the green seaweed but did not find the black and white seaweed edible. So many choices. We enjoyed every other dish that we tried.

One of the carousels was the salad bar which had 25 different food items to add to your salad. There was also a fine selection of fruits.

Another carousel displayed a full array of sushi. They also had a great selection of desserts. Debbi was ecstatic over the cream puffs and ice cream. I enjoyed the choice of small cakes and puddings.

Vanilla and chocolate soft serves were great and I ate them on an almond cookie. Yum. Nothing better. There was no way you could leave this restaurant hungry. The restaurant seats 180 people. It is wheelchair friendly and one can reach the food easily.

Lunch is served Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and costs $15.95, which includes a soda. Saturday lunch is $16.95. Dinner Monday-Friday from 3:30-9 p.m. is $19.95 The cost all day Saturday is $20.95. Kids 3-5 years old cost $5.95. Kids 6-9 years old cost half of the adult price. They offer take out, delivery, and catering.

From Leisure World it is a 7.3-mile drive. On an ordinary day it should take 17 minutes to drive there. Begin on Seal Beach Boulevard to Lampson Avenue and turn right. Then take a left turn on Valley View Street. On Chapman Avenue take a right turn. Right before Beach Boulevard, turn into the shopping center on the right. The restaurant is on the corner. There is plenty of free parking.

We rated China Super Buffet as five stars. We have never been to such an excellent Chinese buffet.
