On July 10, the Joyful Line Dance Club celebrated its 11th anniversary with a dance party and lunch. All attendees enjoyed a traditional Korean Dosirak lunch, and rice cakes and watermelon for dessert. Albert Comia and Karen Kei led the dancers.

The club thanks Sophia Kim for cutting the watermelons for almost 60 guests and Gina Baik for coordinating with a catering company, and everyone else who lent a helping hand. This was the club’s largest event in recent years.

The club meets on Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 2. Its mission is to improve the emotional and physical well-being of LWers and also encourages men to come out of their units and try the classes.

All residents are welcome to join. The annual membership fee is $20. For more information, call Anna Derby at 562-301-5339.
