AuthorSpeak event with writer Sheila Yasmin Marikar is June 6

The Leisure World Library invites everyone to the next AuthorSpeak event at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 6, at Veteran’s Plaza, located next to the library.

Sheila Yasmin Marikar is the author of two novels, “The Goddess Effect” and “Friends in Napa.” The latter was released by Mindy Kaling’s Book Studio in April 2024.

“Friends in Napa” follows Raj and Rachel, who have invited a small group of friends from their college days for a three-night stay at their vineyard mansion in Napa for the grand opening of their winery. It doesn’t take long before these friends’ resentments, animosities and old flames come bubbling to the surface in this twisty humorous thriller.

The presentation begins promptly at 11 a.m. Arrive as early as 10:30 a.m. to enjoy refreshments provided by the library and to find preferred seating. Books will be available for purchase.
