Joyful Line Dance held its biennial election May 1

On May 1, the Joyful Line Dance Club celebrated its biennial election of the officers with dancing and Sprouts sandwiches. The club appreciates all the donations and help that made this event special. The newly elected officers to serve for the next two years are: Anna Derby, president, Albert Comia, vice president, Gina Baik, secretary and Chong Hee Kim, treasurer.

The club was founded in 2014 with the purpose to have LW residents of all ethnicities share their passion for dancing and community under the guidance

of volunteer instructors. The club meets on Thursdays in Clubhouse 2 from 10 a.m.-noon. The first half hour of the class is for beginners. The rest of the class offers intermediate and advanced routine, including the dances learned in the past. Beginners are encouraged to stay for the rest of the class to become familiar with the steps.

People must register to attend the class. Membership is $20 per calendar year and will not be prorated. Members must check in at the front desk before the class. For more information, contact Anna Derby at 562-301-5339.
