TheLongBeachShakespeare Company has 14 shows in 2023. These 14 shows include Shakespeare plays, Old Time Radio Shows, a poetry series and a New Works Festival at a new venue.

On Jan. 22, Mutual 1 resident Debbi Fudge was in the audience for the first 2023 show—the Old Time Radio Show “Alice In Wonderland.”

“The Old Time Radio Shows are really fun seeing how all the special effects are performed, listening to the clever original commercials and hearing the actors give a voice to multiple characters,” Fudge said. “For more than ten years now I have been attending Long Beach Shakespeare Company performances at the Helen Borgers Theatre.”

ThenextplayisShakespeare’s “King Lear,” which will run from Feb. 17-March 11.

From March 24-April 2, the group will perform the Old Time Radio Show “Sherlock Holmes: The Strange Case of Miss Alice Faulkner.”
