Bocce is a ball sport developed into its present form in Italy. It shares a common ancestry from ancient games played in the Roman Empire. In bocce, players or teams, roll their bocce balls toward a smaller target ball called a pallino. The goal in bocce ball is to get your bocce closest to the pallino. This sport is very popular in senior communities as bocce ball is a sport that is not defined by physical strength.

The Bocce Ball Club is getting up and running for a great winter league. Each league runs for seven weeks. Teams are currently forming for some exciting and rousing competition!

The bocce club is comprised of Leisure World residents that are friendly, fun and supportive of each other.

The club has one opening left for a Thursday afternoon team and it is starting a waiting list for people who want to join a bocce team when there is an opening. Those who want to join should call Rhonda at 714-904-6458.
