At the August meeting of the Photo Arts Club, Ben Benjamins delivered an excellent presentation on the evolution of modern cameras and the adjustment options available to photographers, with a particular focus on shutter speed.

The next meeting of the Photo Arts Club will be Sept. 9 at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 5. Benjamins will continue his review of camera basics, this time with a focus on aperture.

Members are asked to bring to the meeting an original photo showing action by adjusting the shutter speed. Examples include a swinging pendulum on a grandfather clock, a flying bird or a moving car. The photo should be cropped to emphasize the subject.

Winners will be chosen by popular vote.

For information about the club, call Regine Schumacher at (562) 430-7978.
