Community Karaoke Club
The Karaoke Club celebrated 20 years of singing in Leisure World on April 30 with a country-western theme. People heard talented neighbors and friends sing popular cowboy songs mixed with lots of other musical varieties. Everyone is welcome to join the club’s karaoke nights, which are held in Clubhouse 1 every Wednesday from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Hui O Hula
The dancers continue learning the hula “My Sweet Pikake Lei” in class, which meets Tuesdays upstairs in Clubhouse 6 at 1 p.m., and Thursdays outside at Veterans Plaza, also at 1 p.m.
Hui O Hula is a performing group, and people can schedule them for a party or gathering by contacting Kaye Huff at 562-431-2242.

LW WOMANS CLUB
The LW Woman's Club gave its annual $1,000 donation to the nonprofi t WE CARE at its April 21 meeting. The nonprofi t's CEO Anne Mallari (l) was in attendance, pictured with Barbara Glass, who sits on the club's board of directors. The Woman's Club sets up a WE CARE table at each of its meetings, where it collects donations of nonperishable food items for people

QUILTING BEES
The Leisure World Quilting Bee Club will hold its annual spring luncheon fundraiser on Wednesday, May 21, in Clubhouse 2 at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are available and cost $25, which includes six door prize tickets. Additional door prize tickets will be available at the door. Payment can be made via cash or check only.
