••• Editha Villarante Estanislao 1942-2025 Editha Villarante Estanislao passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, at the age of 82 after a long struggle with dementia. She was born to Marcelino and Magdalina Villarante in San Carlos City, Negros, Philippines in 1942. The eldest of 10 children, she took great care of her young siblings. After attending the University of San Carlos in Cebu, she became an elementary school teacher in her hometown. In 1968, she married Joseph Estanislao. After 10 years in Manila, they immigrated to the U.S., where they raised their children in Pasadena, California. Editha worked tirelessly to support her family and ensured her children attended college. In her free time, she enjoyed ceramics, floral arrangements and Filipino cooking. She retired at Leisure World in 2004. Editha was a devout Catholic, a devoted wife and mother, a cherished aunt, sister, and friend. She is survived by her three children, Arnold, Judith, and Jeannette, and two grandchildren, Alyssa and Andrew. Editha joins Joseph in eternal rest with the Lord Jesus Christ. Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday, May 23, from 4-8 p.m. at Hope Chapel at Forest Lawn, 4471 Lincoln Ave., Cypress. Funeral mass on Saturday, May 24, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Leisure World, followed by burial at noon at Forest Lawn in Cypress. Luncheon will immediately follow.
