Eight golfers of the Leisure World Men’s Golf League challenged the Willowick Golf Course in Santa Ana on May 16. Four golfers shot net at or below par. There were three birdies, all by Jim Goltra, who was also closest to the pin on the 140-yard par 3 fourth hole. Dave LaCascia was closest on the 140-yard par 3 12th. The first annual Ladies & Gents Putting Contest, sponsored by Gasper Monteer Realty, will be held Tuesday, July 29, at 7:30 a.m. There will be five different greens and five different lengths, with $100 in prize money plus additional prizes.
