GRF Security manager reflects on service

Larry Norlander, a Mutual 12 resident, survived one of America’s most divisive and deadly conflicts — a war in which one out of every 10 U.S. soldiers never made it home. Drafted into Vietnam after years of escalating losses that claimed the lives of thousands, Norlander faced his duty with quiet resolve.

American Legion will honor veterans in CH 2 at 11 a.m.
VETERANS DAY CEREMONY
The American Legion Post 327 will host its annual Veterans Day program on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The Velvetones will start off the festivities at 9:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 2.
The program will begin with ceremonies conducted by Cmdr. Rich Carson at 10 a.m, followed by speaker Marty Golden, a chief warrant officer with 32 years of service that included duty on destroyers, mine
