Jan Lee Truesdell 1953-2022 Jan Lee Truesdell died of cardiopulmon ary arrest on Oct. 16, 2022, at home. A memorial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 3. Jan was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She is survived by her daughter, Cory Robertson; son and daughter-in-law, Erin and Taylor Kennelly; granddaughters Emerson and Spencer; sisters Linda Lockyer and Anne Govenettio, and her nieces and nephews. Born on March 2, 1953, Jan was known as a free spirit with a love for nature and community. She was a musician, visual artist, and registered nurse. A lifelong California resident, Jan spent her childhood in Long Beach and adult life in the Bay Area and Santa Cruz. She lived in Humboldt County before moving to Leisure World. The family would like to invite Jan’s friends and neighbors to attend the memorial.

Valentine’s Dinner Dance tickets on sale


A GRF Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m. in Clubhouse 2 after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The romantic not-for-couples-only evening will feature a sumptuous dinner of chicken piccata, garlic mashed potatoes, steamed vegetable medley and Sonoma salad, followed by chocolate mousse. The meal will be catered by Country Gardens Caterers.

7 electric vehicle charging stations are coming to LW

7 electric vehicle charging stations are coming to LW


SCE Southern California Edison (SCE), in cooperation with the GRF Physical Property Department, has laid the infrastructure for seven electric vehicle charging stations with three individul and four dual ports. They are located just outside the St. Andrews Gate. SCE is installing wiring and pipe for the metering equipment. Construction of the charging stations has not been scheduled as
