Weekend Night Dances in February

Weekend Night Dances in February


The Velvetones Ballroom Dance Orchestra is Leisure World’s own professional big band, playing Big Band Swing and jazz standards— music for dreaming and dancing. They are back in action on Sunday, Feb. 5, from 6-9 p.m. in Clubhouse 4 and again on Feb. 19. The Velvetones play regularly at LW Clubhouse 4 on the first and third Sunday evenings. Vinyl Rock will play on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m.

Editor, One of the palm trees surrounding my unit fell to the ground during the heavy rain period we experienced the week of Jan. 8-14. Because the ground was so saturated from continuous heavy rain, the weight of the trunk couldn’t hold any longer when it started to slide.
