GAF Over 200 Leisure World residents were treated to a selection of ice cream treats outside Clubhouse 2 by the Golden Age Foundation (GAF) on May 3. Novelty ice cream items were provided from the sliding service window of the brightly colored ice cream truck with many choices available. GAF’s First Focus In the early years, the primary focus of the GAF was to improve the health and well-being of Leisure World residents. It sponsored flu vaccine clinics, diabetic clinics and a smoking cessation clinic. The Impaired Vision and Hearing Club’s general meetings are held every fourth Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1 (except July, August and November). The membership fee of $3 is now due. The Impaired Vision Support Group meets every third Friday at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 6. The Hard of Hearing Support Group meets every second Thursday at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 7.
