Heat Warning, Cooling Centers Open
The National Weather Service issued an Excessive Heat Warning Aug. 30 that remains in effect through 8 p.m., Sept. 5, possibly extending through Sept. 7. The urgent weather message warns of dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 105-110 expected in parts of Southern California. A high of 95 is predicted for Seal Beach on Sunday, Sept. 4, and lows will only fall to the mid- and upper 70s.
