After working hard at performances during the summer, Hui O Hula, the LW Hawaiian dance club, decided to celebrate the season with a poolside party on Sept. 9.
Food and beverages galore were brought and made by the newcomers, including ribs and chicken by grill master Susie Saraf, exotic side dishes such as rice and curries, various homemade salads, exotic sweets and pastries, pineapple chucks

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a selection of food trucks, cocktails, fire pits and lounge seating by the fountain. Following in the beautiful Terrace Theater, residents can enjoy the optional Concert Pre-Talk with Maestro Eckart Preu and Concertmaster

Instructor Elizabeth Butterfield will introduce residents to the fascinating and creative world of mixed-medium arts. An interesting variety of techniques such as acrylic painting, collage, finger painting and the assembling of unique found objects will all be explored.
Residents will be inspired by the exciting variety of materials which can be found in the most surprising places.
Classes
Instructor Elizabeth Butterfield will introduce residents to the fascinating and creative world of mixed-medium arts. An interesting variety of techniques such as acrylic painting, collage, finger painting and the assembling of unique found objects will all be explored.

Several prize winners were part of Cribbage Club this week. Donna Gorman and Hoppy Hopkins tied for first place with 845 of a possible perfect score of 847. Gene Smith took second place with 840 while Pat Fellers placed third with 835. Evelyn Ingram and Sharon Rutigliano tied for fourth place with 822. Jim Kaspar lost all seven games played.
The club celebrated birthdays with two of its members.
