Golden Wind Zen Club


The Golden Wind Zen Club meets in Clubhouse 3, Room 5, every second Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. for an introduction, and every Saturday from 9-11 a.m. for a regular practice. Aside from discovering a true nature of meditation, the attendees gain each other’s support and enjoy one-on-one dialogues with the teacher. The women-only Wa-Rite Club meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. That dime goes to the person who lost the most weight that week. LW ID cards must be shown. Enjoy a variety of dance classes with the Dancing Feet Club


Last week, the Dancing Feet Club celebrated May birthdays with a sumptuous cake. The club meets on Mondays from 7-9 p.m. for line dance lessons and practice, and on every fourth Sunday for a social (ballroom) and line dancing from 6-9:30 p.m. Both events are held in Clubhouse 2. On May 27, the Seal Beach Lions Club was a guest speaker at the Impaired Vision and Hearing Club’s monthly meeting. The Lions Club has been a long time supporter of the vision and hearing impaired LW residents. Some members of the club also serve holiday meals to LW residents every year.
