Art League: Spotlight on the Artist


The LW Art League will have its Spotlight on the Artist reception on Friday, July 26, in Clubhouse 4 from 1-3:30 p.m. The reception will feature artists from the Art League’s portrait painting workshop every Thursday mornings in the art room of Clubhouse 4. After being part of the karaoke audience for years, mother-daughter team Lucy and Nancy Fitch sang “Sixteen Tons” for the audience. The happy crowd joined in singing the chorus. Dancers perform at veterans picnic


HUI O HULA Hui O Hula, the LW Hawaiian Dance Club, offers hula dance lessons weekly. Tuesday class meets upstairs in Clubhouse 6 at 1:15 p.m.; and Thursday class is given outdoors at Veterans Plaza, between Clubhouse 3 and the LW Library, starting at 1 p.m. All are welcome to dance or to audit the class. LW Woodshop

LW Woodshop


The LW Woodshop is located in Clubhouse 1 near the Main Gate. The facility is equipped with a variety of woodworking tools and state-of-the-art equipment, as well as supervisors that can help with small projects. The woodshop is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m.-noon.
