SHUFFLEBOARD CLUB The LW Shuffleboard Club will add spirit to the summer hiatus by sponsoring one last July gathering on Wednesday, July 31, at 3 p.m. at the Courts Building. The Saturday Social Bunco Club meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby. The next meeting will be Saturday, July 27. Sign-in begins at 1 p.m. and is $5. Tournament Poker Club


Those who would like to play a fun and friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em for a $5 buy-in can join the Tournament Poker Club at the Saturday tournament on Aug. 4. Regular tournaments are on the first three Saturdays of every month in the lobby of Clubhouse 6. Registration begins at 10 a.m., along with treats and coffee. Cards are in the air at 10:30. The LW Women’s Golf Club plays every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. Thirty-three women played the Turtle Lake Golf Course on July 16. The highlight of the day was a hole-in-one on No. 7 by Soo Choi. Players are requested to bring a dollar next week for the pot. Play for the day was low gross, low net and fewest putts. The LW Pool Club’s annual Mano-A-Mano eight ball tournament was July 17. This was a double elimination tournament restricted to 16 A and B level players. The first round was a two-out-of-three match that only counted as one loss. After the first round, there were eight players in the winner’s bracket and eight in the losers’ bracket. Cribbage Club

Cribbage Club


The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served from noon-12:15 each week and anyone arriving by 12:15 is assured a place to play. One dollar is collected from each player weekly who plays and those finishing in the top four are awarded prize money the following week. A total of seven games are played.
