The Leisure World Men’s Golf Club played the Turtle Lake Golf Course on July 24. The course is a 1,658-yard, 18 hole, par-54 course that challenges all who play. The greens are looking better now that golfers are repairing their ball marks. Golf etiquette also suggests players not let the flag stick drop to the ground, but rather that it be lowered gently.

The Leisure World Men’s Golf Club played the Turtle Lake Golf Course on July 24. The course is a 1,658-yard, 18 hole, par-54 course that challenges all who play. The greens are looking better now that golfers are repairing their ball marks. Golf etiquette also suggests players not let the flag stick drop to the ground, but rather that it be lowered gently.

Seven golfers competed at the 6,000-yard par-71 River View Golf Course in Santa Ana on July 19.
Scores were higher than usual reflecting the course length—two 500-plus yard par 5s—plus difficult flag positioning. There were no birdies and no rounds below net par reflecting the increased course difficulty. Gary Stivers and Fujio Norihiro tied for fewest putts in the A flight and Tom Ross had

Bunco is an easy and fun dice game where players try to score the most points. The Monday Evening Bunco Club plays on the second and fourth Mondays every month in Clubhouse 3, Room 1, at 6 p.m. sharp. There is a halftime social to mingle with friends and neighbors. The next Bunco Club meeting will be on Aug. 12.

No parking is allowed in front of the Amphitheater on St. Andrews Drive along the southbound lanes. This is a tow-away zone on Thursdays during Amphitheater season. Minibus transportation will be available before and after shows. Food trucks will be available
