LW ANNIVERSARY Connie and Jay Young traveled to Carmel, California, with their daughter, granddaughter and her husband to celebrate 71 years of marriage. They were married on July 25,1953, after Jay graduated from the University of Redlands. Connie was also a student there as a junior. Over 70 puzzles available to borrow


LW LIBRARY The LW Library has more than 70 puzzles available to borrow with no set return date. Simply take the puzzle home, and return it after it has been completed. The library is regularly cycling in new puzzles to the collection, so every time people visit they will be sure to find something new. Puzzles are available in 300, 500, 750 and 1,000 pieces. SATURDAY MORNING DANCE CLASS There ….


SATURDAY MORNING DANCE CLASS There are two dance classes every Saturday morning in Clubhouse 6 (second floor). In August, the classes are: nightclub two-step at 9 a.m., followed by waltz at 10. Each class is $7 per person. Class participants vote on new dance topics every month. Prior dance experience is not necessary and partners are not required. Hula dancers are learning ‘Waikaloa’


Hui O Hula, LW’s hula club, offers Hawaiian dance lessons twice a week. On Tuesdays, class meets upstairs in the mirror room in Clubhouse 6; and on Thursdays dancers gather outdoors, under a giant tent, at Veterans Plaza. Both classes start at 1:15 p.m. All, including men, are welcome. Na malihini (visitors or newcomers) are also welcome to observe or audit the class. Traditional hula is danced
