Marguerite Marie Pizzuto May 6,1934-August 3,2024 Marguerite Pizzuto, Margie to her friends and family, passed away Aug. 3, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born May 6, 1934, to Harold and Marguerite Tate in Brooklyn, New York. Marguerite came from a big family of four brothers and three sisters, and a lot of good memories of family and friends were made in New York. In 1951 she married Joseph Pizzuto, the love of her life, who preceded her in death May 11, 2024. They were married 73 years. The couple enjoyed playing bingo once or twice a week and took many trips to casinos. They came to California in 1963 and lived in Leisure World Seal Beach for 30 happy years. She has many friends and really enjoyed living in LW. Margie was a generous and caring person, who always thought of other people before herself. She was a devoted wife, a great mom and a special grandma and great grandma, plus friend to everyone. Margie is survived by son Joseph (Arlene) of Laguna Woods, California, and daughter Marguerite Bailey (Randy) of Gig Harbor, Washington; grandchildren Eric Bailey and Stephanie Thelen (Mitch) and great grandchildren Levi Bailey, Owen and Reese Thelen, also from Gig Harbor. She is also survived by her sister; Grace Bottari of Montauk, New York, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed, and now she can be with her beloved husband, Joe, forever. There will be a memorial service and reception Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 9 a.m. at Westminster Memorial Park and Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683. In lieu of flowers, people can make a donations to the Alzheimers. org or a dementia-related foundation of their choice.
