HUI O HULA Hui O Hula, the LW Hawaiian dance club, has been offering hula dance lessons since 2005. Although hula is a complex artform, Hui O Hula classes are fun and club dancers are helpful. Anyone, regardless of skill level, is welcome to follow senior dancers’ footwork and sway along to the melodic tropical music. The Jewelry and Lapidary Club will hold a dichroic glass jewelry class on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 12:30-3 p.m. in the Clubhouse 4 Lapidary Studio. The class is $15. People can sign up in-person at the Lapidary Studio. Space is limited.

SATURDAY MORNING DANCE CLASS There are two dance classes every Saturday morning in Clubhouse 6 (second floor). In September, the classes are nightclub two-step at 9 a.m., followed by cha-cha at 10. Each class is $7 per person. Class participants vote on new dance topics every month. Prior dance experience is not necessary and partners are not required. GENEALOGY CLUB The Genealogy Club will recommence its general membership meetings this month. The club will meet Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1, for the beginning of its speaker series. Coffee hour begins at 9:30 a.m.; bring refreshments to share with members and guests. People should use the sign-up sheet in the Genealogy Library. This month’s speaker is Tina Sansone.
