The Recreation Department is still sending letters to qualifying shareholders indicating they have received a spot in the new Community Garden. Those who have received a letter with a spot assignment should go to the Recreation Office, located in Building 5, to complete the required paperwork. SATURDAY MORNING DANCE CLASS There are two dance classes every Saturday morning in Clubhouse 6 (second floor). In September, the classes are nightclub two-step at 9 a.m., followed by cha-cha at 10. Each class is $7 per person. Class participants vote on new dance topics every month. Prior dance experience is not necessary and partners are not required. GRF MOVIES A matinee of the Oscarwinning- film “Nomadland” will be screened on Saturday, Sept. 21, in Clubhouse 4. People interested in learning more about space, celestial bodies and how the universe works are invited to join free lectures taught by LW resident and retired physics/astronomy teacher Jim Johns on Fridays at 10 a.m. via Zoom. California Science   Exposition Center  trip

California Science Exposition Center trip


The Sunshine Club will take a day trip to the California Science Exposition Center in Los Angeles on Nov. 4. Sign ups are now available at the club meeting in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m. Tickets are $80 per person. The bus will leave at 8:30 a.m. and return by 6 p.m. Fees will be collected at the sign up, no exception. The trip is all inclusive, including the popular Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit,
