GRF BUS TRIP In honor of Veterans Day, the Recreation Department is conducting a GRF bus trip to tour the Battleship Iowa on Thursday, Nov. 7. The USS Iowa served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War. The ship earned 11 battle stars, thousands of sailors have called the ship home, and five U.S. presidents have visited it. People interested in learning more about space, celestial bodies and how the universe works are invited to join free lectures taught by LW resident and retired physics/ astronomy teacher Jim Johns on Fridays at 10 a.m. via Zoom.
