Chess Club
The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginners lessons are available. Keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay by practicing this strategy game, proven to improve shortand long-term memory and critical thinking skills. Tournament Poker Club will play March 7 in CH 6
Those who would like to play a fun and friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em for a $5 buy-in should make plans to play on Saturday, March 7, with the Tournament Poker Club in Clubhouse 6. GAF awards Pickleball Club funds for ball machine
The Leisure World Pickleball Club encourages residents to take up the sport of pickleball. Instructors give free lessons every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. The first Wednesday of each month is especially designed for new players. Basic strokes are introduced, and new players begin to learn drills.
